Calling Carl Sagan

You remember him. “Billions and billions of stars.” Well,  if he was still with us, I guess he’d have a handle on the astronomical federal budget, now –defying some law of physics, I’m sure– expanding faster than the universe itself.  For the rest of us, this is what a trillion dollars looks like.

  2. The federal debt, now closing in on ten trillion, right? You can’t stack pallets that high.

    Thomas Sowell: The first lesson of economics is scarcity: there is never enough of anything to fully satisfy all of those who want it. The first lesson of politics is to disregard the first lesson of economics.
